To be more specific, a morphadoodle is a one-of-a-kind, hand sewn original character made from a variety of high quality fabrics (including but not limited to fleece, woolen felt, and faux fur) that is created when a child's artwork and ideas are combined with the imagination and experimentation of Laborastory's esteemed scientists, Dr. Stalk and Professor Electra. The resulting designer toy (morphadoodle) will be as unique as the child who created it. Who writes the morphadoodle's story? The Doodle Data that the child submits along with the actual doodle serves as the bones of his/her morphadoodle's original story. At the Lab, Dr. Stalk and Professor Electra, flesh out the stories and add their own humorous spin. These stories are ultimately published on the character's very own web page found in The Morphadoodle Chronicles. This way the larger LaboraSTORY is constantly being enriched by an ever-growing cast of characters. How Do I Order a Morphadoodle? 1. Purchase the Make Your Own Morphadoodle product. 2. The forms and a cover letter from Dr. Stalk will be mailed to the child in a TOP SECRET File. 3. Mail the three forms to Laborastory. Wait. Wish. Wonder... How long does it take to receive my finished morphadoodle? Each product is custom made in the order in which it is received. Please allow 4-6 weeks for your morphadoodle to be shipped. To break up the waiting period, a custom Lab Report marked TOP SECRET will be mailed to you approximately one week after you place your order. The Lab Report will allow you to see the Lab's progress, and you will discover just how far your doodle has already morphed. Can I place a rush order? Absolutely. Please contact us at info@laborastory.com before placing the order. How do I send a morphadoodle as a gift for a special occasion? Simply click on the Make Your Own Morphadoodle product page. When Dr. Stalk sends out the TOP SECRET File, a gift card will be included inside. If you would like the File to be sent directly to the recipient, be sure to tell us his/her name and how you would like your name to appear on the card. You will be able to provide this information in the comment box as part of the check out process. How detailed does a doodle need to be in order for it to be turned into a morphadoodle? As you can see on Meet the Morphadoodles, the level of detail in the doodles varies. When we posed this question to Dr. Stalk at the Lab, he replied, "We have yet to meet a doodle that we could not morph. The personality and spirit of the doodle will shine through!"
